|Mrs. Kappel's Kindergarten|
Friday Oct. 30 we will be heading to Esperance to visit the "Pick a Pumpkin" Pumpkin Patch. The weather will be very chilly so be sure your child has a hat and gloves as we will be outside all day. We will leave at 8:30 am -be sure your child has a hearty breakfast. Remind him/her to use the bathroom at school before we leave. Please pack a bag lunch too!
Welcome to Mrs. Kappel's blog! Feel free to write comments, thought or ask questions. I will reply!
This year is rapidly coming to a close, and with that the end of your child's kindergarten year! Are you as amazed as I am in how much your child has grown and matured in so many ways?
I am always a little sad at this time to see my class move on, so well polished and able to do so many things. Your child has worked very hard this year! But I think they are definitely ready for next year.
I know I gave your child a solid foundation for success throughout their school career. Keep up with the reading at home, I cannot stress how important that is to your child!
I am looking forward to our end of the year celebration on June 19!
Thank you for a great year, all your support. Good luck and best wishes to all!
Stop by and say hello anytime !!
This month we had a great time reading lots of books about snow and snowmen, and fun books by David Shannon. We spent a lot of time indoors but hopefully the temps will go above 20 degrees and the kids can enjoy the snow.
Next month we will read books by Todd Parr and pack in as much learning as we can. February is a very busy month!
If this fabulous event was on a school day the K team would take the kids to see this excellent show. Unfortunately it falls on a Sunday, so I am highly recommending families to attend on their own.
Eric Carle is an author we study throughout the year, but especially during the month of May.
I hope you can attend!
